Worship Arts Ministries
The Sanctuary Choir sings every Sunday during the traditional Worship Service at 10:30 a.m. Our repertoire includes a variety of classic and contemporary hymns under the direction of Rev. Cameron Dahl. We also offer opportunities to sing for the Christmas and Easter Cantata. Rehearsals are on Wednesday nights from 7:30 p.m.-9 p.m. in the Choir Room. Newcomers are welcome any time of the year. But we do devote the month of September to the kick off our new season of hymns as well as a time to celebrate and welcome newcomers with snacks and fellowship following shortened rehearsals. Plan on dropping in and giving us a try. We’d love to have you!
KidJAM is a program designed for children in the 1st-5th grade. Under the direction of Kim Gilbert, music and other art forms are combined to learn about Biblical principles. Children present multifaceted musical productions in the fall and spring. In addition to singing and Bible study, children can choose to participate in other art forms, including drama, drumming/rhythm, dancing, crafts and more. Children also will have the opportunity to sing in Sunday worship at various times throughout the year. Come and check us out. We meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:20 p.m.-7:30 p.m. in C115 & C124. Register for KidJAM online.
In addition, we are always in need of volunteers, so if you are looking for a place to plug in and make a difference in the spiritual development of children, we’d love to have you! Click here for the volunteer application.
Young At Heart Choir
The Young at Heart Choir boasts a 36-member strong group of singers and musicians for older adults. We sing favorites from the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and 50’s as well as classic and contemporary hymns. Originally formed over 30 years ago by our church organist, Anne Winston, it continues to flourish. Under the direction of Rev. Cameron Dahl, the Young at Heart Choir performs in long-term care facilities, hospitals and other venues in the metro area and beyond. We rehearse every Tuesday morning in the Choir Room from 10 a.m.-11:15 a.m. with holiday breaks and a summer hiatus. Our choir is a loving group that always welcomes new members. Come and check us out. We’d love to have you!

Cameron Dahl we meet every Wednesday from 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. in M111/112. We hope you’ll pop in and check us out.
Our Amplify Tech Team works in the tech booth at the back of the Sanctuary during worship and events. We run lights, projection and sound and are staffed completely by trained volunteers. Previous experience is not necessary, but an aptitude for computers, and electronic equipment is desirable. We provide training coordinated by our team. Once you have had a few training sessions, your trainer and the team director, Rob Smith, will determine when you will be ready to serve, as well as the area that best utilizes your skill set. Opportunities include Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, special events and the Student Worship Center. Even when you begin working, you will be shadowed by an experienced team member, so have no fear. Scheduling for Sunday worship or Wednesday Bible study is on a rotating basis, approximately every third week. If you are scheduled to work projection or sound for the contemporary services, you will need to come to rehearsal on the Thursday night before your Sunday rotation.
To begin training, contact Rev. Cameron Dahl (email@example.com). We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to the team. If you would like to get an idea of what we do, come to the tech booth as a silent observer during our Thursday rehearsal. We begin at 7 p.m. with vocals and the full band.
Contemporary Worship Team
Our Contemporary Worship Team and Praise Band sings and plays a variety of instruments during the 9 a.m. Contemporary Worship Service. We always welcome new singers and band members. Our rehearsals are on Thursday evenings from 6:45 p.m.-8:15 p.m. in the Sanctuary. If you would like to share your talents during contemporary worship, we will conduct auditions at any time. Contact our director, Rev. Cameron Dahl (firstname.lastname@example.org) to schedule your audition. Feel free to stop by, meet the team and listen to rehearsal any Thursday night.
Echoes of Grace, is our youth choir. If you like to sing and want to improve your voice, come check us out on Sunday nights at 5 p.m. Rehearsal is in E218 (second floor, education building). We learn contemporary anthems and music and share our talents during worship a few times during the year. We also perform at King’s Dominion or Busch Gardens, go Christmas caroling and take other field trips throughout the year. Our choir takes a break in the summer and during Christmas and Easter. Come check us out. We’d love to have you!
We also welcome volunteers for accompaniment and co-directing.
